Central Oregon Daily reported on October 28, 2026, that Kevin Bleyer, a writer who won an Emmy for his work on "The Daily Show," has died following a car crash. The headline gives no further details of the event itself, so the report is limited to the fact of the death and its connection to a crash.
The headline does not say where or when the crash happened, what caused it, whether other people or vehicles were involved, or how Bleyer was hurt before his death. No other news outlet has confirmed these details or the account of his death so far, so they should be treated as unverified.
Official crash reports are kept by the law-enforcement agency that responded to the crash. People involved in a crash, or their representatives, can typically request a copy of that report from the agency.
